Simplified OLL/PLL

This method lets you finish the last layer the easy way, with only 4 algorithms to learn. It is a stepping stone to ease into the advanced CFOP method little by little.

You solve the last layer in only 2 steps instead of 4.
First, you solve the whole yellow face.

Make the cross

(as in the beginner method)

Case Line
F (R U R' U') F'
Case Reverse L
F (U R U' R') F'
Case Dot
F (R U R' U') F'f (R U R' U') f'

2 simple algorithms to know

1Sune:

R U R' U (R U2 R')

Sune 3D
RRUUR'R’UU
RRU'U’U'U’R'R’

2Anti-Sune:

(R U2 R') U' R U' R'

Anti-Sune 3D
RRU'U’U'U’R'R’
U'U’RRU'U’R'R’

The 5 OLLs

Depending on the case, you do the "Sune" from a specific angle. Then you do either the "Sune" or the "Anti-Sune".

Finish the cube with 2 easy PLLs

T Perm

Headlights on the left 3D

(R U R' U') R' F (R2 U' R') U' (R U R' F')

You want a case with 2 corners of the same color on the same face.
Put them on the left, then do the T Perm.
If no corners match, do a T Perm first, then look again for 2 corners of the same color on the same face.

Ua Perm

Ua Perm 3D

(R2 U' R') U' R (U R) (U R) U' R

All the corners are now solved.
Finish the cube with the Ua Perm, solved face in front.
Do it again if the cube isn't solved yet.
If you can't find a face that's already solved, do the Ua Perm from any side.
